I have finally finished this book after like 1802304710287 years!! Took me an especially long time reading because I was too busy.
The thing I found most interesting about this book it that it's really old. As in it was published at around 1942. Woah right? I have this habit of checking the publishing dates of the books I read and I do not know why (LOL). Anyway, the fact that the term for a real relationship used in this book was "going steady" is further proof that this book IS old. I was a little hesitant in taking on a story that was so out of touch to the point where I thought I might not even understand it. But Maureen Daly is a great author and it made me realize how much our generation has changed. At the age of 17, Angie is still a little scared to go on a date with Jack. She wonders if it really could just be summer romance or true love. This book will take you on a short journey with Angie who is trying to find herself and understand what love is really about before her summer is over and she has to leave for college. However, I think this book could have used a little more spice even though it was dated back all the way to the 40's.
