New Arrivals

Knowing me, any chance to blog/tweet/talk about Taylor Swift, I grab it. Hahaha. Being an avid fan, I love receiving/buying her official merch and what not. For christmas, I asked for those hard to reach CD's. :) Living in the Philippines, I have little sources for Taylor stuff. Imagine my fascination and excitement when these arrived for me a few days ago..

Allow me to fill you in. It's Taylor's first time to be on the cover of VOGUE so I guess it's a fan's pride when her idol is suddenly "high fashion." I don't take having these things as having a privilege to bragging rights. I'm just really happy and proud. If you don't know, Beautiful eyes (orange CD) was super rare up until walmart re-released it after 3 years (If I'm not mistaken) and is being sold for $7 right now (350 pesos) rather than if you bought it online and the prices could range from $20-$100. I feel so blessed right now. Thank you to my parents who sponsor my addiction. Hahaha ♥

The Darkest Hour Review

TGIF!! Although today was hectic, it was productive. We celebrated teacher's day and I'd like to say HAPPY TEACHERS DAY!! ♥ It was also my dad's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY! We chose to have a small celebration by watching a movie (sadly, my sister wasn't around) at the Mall of Asia. As usual, before the movie started, I went to booksale (yes, I go there often) to look for new reading material. 

We watched The Darkest Hour. Honestly, the set of actors were new faces to me but that was alright. I won't spoil things though. This movie was set somewhere in Russia. Obviously, if you've watched the trailer, this movie is mostly about an alien invasion. I don't know why, but sci-fi is what I'm in to lately. The plot was simple and the setting didn't move out of Russia. There was enough action and suspense to create the right amount of tension in the audience. but if you're the type who likes morbid, this isn't the movie for you. There's not much gore and blood involved. Overall, it was a good movie.
